I ordered this Telluride on Monday Feb10, 2020. I had checked with dealers in 3 states to check on dealer up-charges and current orders. I ordered from a dealer with no SX models on order(smaller dealership), so hopefully, I would be first in line at this dealer. I am hoping this will improve my chances of a faster delivery. I have great communication with sales and GM at dealer. This will be my first KIA, and first Asian car.

What states did you check and what up charges did you find?

I reviewed KY, IN, TN, NC. The up-charges ranged from zero, $1495, $2495 up to $4995. The bigger the market and the dealer,the larger the mark-up.

How long did they tell you the wait would be? I ordered an SX AWD without prestige package about 2 weeks ago.Dealership told me wait was 12-14 weeks, but seeing other posts where people have waited 6 months.

I did not get a direct answer. Apparently KIA sales division is unable to determine the manufacturing order and delivery after an order is placed. I do not have any idea how the KIA sales division tracks the products ordered. The General Manager at the dealer I ordered from, does not get feedback from KIA sales( or does not relay this to customers) until the car is on the line and a VIN is produced. I was told this small dealer got its' last order for a Telluride SX AWD 1.5 weeks early. I will post as soon as I hear. I am disappointed that the manufacturing plant increased the production by 100,000 and still we are having to wait 2 to 4 months to get product.

The GM from my dealer called me today to tell me my SX AWD would be delivered on June 8th.

I ordered pretty much the same one as you. Black SXP. I gave my deposit on 2/21. They told me then, that it would be 6-12 months! Whatever...
So I hadn't heard anything since I placed my deposit, so I emailed my rep, with no answer. Then I texted their computer line and they first told me the plants were shut down and they wouldn't know for awhile. Then the next day they texted me back and said it should be here June 27th. A little different that 6-12 months.

My dealer texted me the other day and said there would be a delay due to covid 19, and that it would arrive mid May. Although according to their original estimate of 12-14 weeks, that’s not really a delay since I ordered 2/21.

I ordered SX Black/Black Prestige AWD on Nov 19, have been checking every since, initially told 12 weeks most recent response from today was "we are expecting it to arrive this month"... So 8 days to go, we shall see!!!

I thought my dealer gave me my VIN when I ordered, but I can’t find the email or where he sent it to me 🙄. Is there a way to check on your delivery process? Said it’s coming 6/17

I did not get a VIN when I ordered but I did hear from the GM yesterday and they are expecting my Telluride on June 22. The Kia plant manufacturing the Telluride in Georgia has been closed since March- planning to restart production May 1 so I expect we will begin to see some arrivals starting in early June.

I ordered Green/Grey a few days later than you did and I have the same delivery date....fingers crossed :) Initially It was 4 months, then 3, then pushed back with closure.

Just got a VIN today. Dealer says delivery sometime the week of June 23rd. 17 weeks since ordering, 19 weeks when delivered. This has been a crazy time and I hope the are resolutions on many things sooner rather than later.

Congrats! I ordered an Sx 2/21. Dealer called last week and said they have no projected date yet but offered another one with an interior color I didn’t want so told them I’ll just wait.

I got a call today that my Telluride was being delivered today. I picked it up and drove home. The drive was amazing(took over 2 hours to get it home). It took 5 months, but I got it.

Wow congratulations! No word from my dealer yet. Is it a 2020 or 21? Did you have a price worked out when you ordered back in February, and if so, did they honor that price?

This was a 2020, and the price was negotiated in Feb and it was honored. Dealer was good to me. No issues at time of delivery. The technology is mind blowing. It was worth the wait.
