Will any models be available with remote start on the keyfob? This is a deal breaker for me living in South Florida.

All Tellurides have remote start via UVOlink app on most all smart phones I think it is free for the first 2 years, and then around $20 per month.

I don't see why Kia would offer it in the remote when it is on your smart phone and all Tellurides offer this capibility.
So you will be able to start your car from your phone but it shuts off after 10 minutes and the doors also will stay locked during the whole process.

Hmmm I only got 1 year free. I couldn’t find price after the first free year. Wow $20 a month is a rip off. The app is so slow , has to be refreshed , and just doesent work they well. It should be no more than $5 -$10 tops if all the features actually worked and worked well....

It works well if you have patience. LOL It takes 15-30 seconds to preform your function.

As for pricing, it hasn't been announced yet. It's 1 year complimentary and then paid after. I'm estimating it to be around the price of Netflix. LOL

I just timed it. Opened app and Face ID logged in - took 12 seconds to load screen
The app then showed my doors as unlocked even though they were locked - as it normally does. Won’t let me remote start because of this so I hit refresh. Took 22 seconds.
Then remote start press ok... another 20 seconds.
So all and all around a full minute with lots of app button pressing. So it’s kind of a pain for something my 6 year old ford could do on the keys so easily :(
If they just improve the app and reliability I would be a lot happier. Also this shouldn’t cost as much as the high tier Netflix. It just doesent have as much value. The trips section never works either. It’s never logged any of my trips and I’ve had the car a week. It constantly shows inaccurate vehicle location even after its refreshed.

Remote start can be added to most any car, it would not be through Kia but a local car accessory store and would probably require a different remote.
Be careful who does the work, if something goes wrong due to that product or the installation of it, may not be covered by Kia warranty.

Sounds like Kia cheaped out on this feature. I can pay $250 for a real nice aftermarket remote start...and I don't have to pay monthly fees.

My brothers new bmw he got less than a year ago did the same. App only. I wonder how many automakers are doing this now.

Quite a few as its another revenue source for them. My MB has an app service for remote start too.

At 20 bucks a month, in one years time, you could've bought a nice aftermarket remote start. If enough people opt out after the free one year, that might send a message to the automakers.

my buddie just got a stinger and there is an add on that allows remote start with the factory key fob, I'm sure there will be something available for the telluride I heard there was but haven't located any info on it as of yet. my dealer has tossed in a $400 credit for me with them to get it as soon as it is available.

The Stinger doesn't have an app supported remote start, we do on ours. I do hope they release a key fob option though.

I'm getting an aftermarket for the Stinger which has both an extra fob and has the app for use on the phone. I'll probably use the phone app as I'll be able to turn on both defrosters, heated seats, and heated steering wheel with it.

@ucinn can you find out when you get it installed if the system works on the Telluride too?
