Can I swap my S headlights with the SX that have the Amber DRL's?

I've been scouring so many forums trying to find an answer to this question, but all I ever seem to find is people swapping the halogen bulbs in their non-SX trim Tellurides with LED or HID bulbs, and nothing about actually just swapping out the entire headlight housing with one from an SX trim that has the amber driving lights. I can't imagine that it would be that difficult, yet I can't seem to find anyone that has done it.... (Conversely, I would also love to replace the white driving lights in my S with some custom red LED's, and actually be different than EVERYONE else on the road, as I like to be unique, but with the demand and sales of Tellurides, it's getting harder and harder to be unique).

I'm interested in this as well. I don't want the amber halos and I think the one I've ordered comes that way. Seems like it would be an easy swap if it's the whole housing. Mine would probably be more difficult as I just want the amber changed to white and keep everything else the same. :/

I have done this. I have an S and just upgraded my headlight set up to the EXP/SX headlights. There is a wiring kit required to allow the headlights to work with no hyperflash, but its is possible. A little pricey, but still cheaper upgrade than buying the higher trim. The kit is plug and play.

You don't want the amber halos? They are one of the things that attracted me to the car, especially the Ebony Black. All black with just the amber halos showing, they look sharp. :)

I know, I know... I’m different. I just like the crisp white and shiny chrome against the dark gray!

Where'd you order the EXP/SX headlights from? And the wiring kit from? And how much are we talking? I'd be very interested in doing this.

Camping out... I would like to know as well. I like the whites on my S just fine, but I don’t love the halogens, and I think the Amber is just. The. Coolest. Shit.

Found this post on tellurideforum.com where the user figured out how to convert from the Halogen headlight housing to the LED housing (with the Amber DRL's!). He now makes and sells a custom wiring harness so that the conversion is truly plug and play. You just need to source a set of the newer LED headlights.

Ebay for the headlights. Around $600 for the set, then another member on another Telluride thread builds the plug and play wiring harness for $350.

Like the post below stated, from a memeber on another forum. As far as i know he no longer makes them, but did share his wiring harness set up with another member who is working on making a stable set with no hyperflash. I just sold my set once my 22 SX-P arrived to another member. The lights are awesomea nd so much better than the stock lower trims. When I put the old bulbs back in before I traded in, it couldnt believe the awful difference. Follow the link provided and read through the end to see who is now making them.

From a member on another forum. He built and tried the relay/harness and then built a limited batch and sold them. I do not think he builds them any more, but there is another member working on a similar harness currently
