What is everyone's favorite engine air filter and cabin air filter brand?

I was looking at getting the washable K&N engine air filter, just not sure if it's worth the extra money.

Whats your opinions?

Apparently, nobody has an opinion on air filters... I was just at our local Kia Dealership on Friday for routine maintenance. They recommended changing my air filters, both cabin, and engine, for $111.90. I declined. I ordered the applicable filters from Autozone for $37.98 (free shipping to my residence in a day) and changed the filters in a matter of minutes. It IS so easy to do. That's a savings of $73.92! That's why, until lately, I've always avoided going to dealerships for service.

Easy fast money. In any business they are there to make money. Just make sure it is not your money.

I've used K&N air filters in every auto and motorcycle I have owned in the last 40 years. My long time mechanic here in whom I have much faith said they do a satisfactory job and, in my experience, they will save you money in the long run. I shopped on the K&N website for an air filter for my 2024 Telluride and found that they do not offer one. However, they offer one for the Hyundai Palisade. I crosschecked a couple aftermarket brands, and they sell exactly the same air filter for the Telluride and the Palisade. I pointed this out to K&N customer service, and they replied "thanks for your inquiry. We will pass this information on." Oh, well.

About you purchase 2 or 3 air filers (cabin or engine) from anybody you'll have met the cost of a K&N filter that lasts 50,000 miles and can be recharged by you with an affordable kit.

K&N warranties their air filters for ten years or one million miles, whichever comes first. You don't even have to clean and reoil it until you get the first 50,000 miles on it. Tossing out their filter at 50,000 miles would be a complete waste of money.

The K&N filter does not filter as well as paper filters, but it does let the engine breath better, but to minimize possible damage to the engine, you need to change your oil more often. There are lots of tests on youtube about this.

i'm been researching tunes , intakes and alxe back mufflers. I found Torkmotorsports.net to be a 1 stop shopping option, John is working on a second tune to even further the power and milage increase. They offer a cold air Intake with a conical air filter. They also offer the muffler and are working on a new X pipe to open up the restrictive piping. Give them a look. Great Info and a true lover of Kia and Hyundai tunning.

I love it when they walk into the waiting room with a very dirty cabin filter and ask if you want it changed. I Use K&N and tell them they must have got the cars mixed up lol
