Getting a new wheel/tire set up for the EX

I'm leaning towards the EX but I'm just not a fan of the stock wheels. I like the look of the SX wheel/tire combo so I'd like to mimic that to some degree. Having never done this before, is it as simple as purchasing some 7.5 x 20 wheels with P245/50 R20 tires and having them professionally mounted, or is there more to it than that?

Yea not a fan of the EX 18" ...Its not that simple though. Been there done that. Obviously the bolt pattern needs to match. But the wheels also need to clear the brake calipers and meet Kia's required load rating. Tire Rack is a great source, once they have a chance to do a measurement they will post wheels that are guaranteed to fit. Fyi likely there will be buyers for the 18" wheels. People in snow country like to mount snow tires on a set of 18's for winter

Thanks, that is what I was concerned about.

While we wait for Tire Rack, America's Tire is half way there. They at least list the Telluride but not the image of the vehicle, so no benefits from the visualizer yet.

Just checked their site, glad to see there's a 16" wheel option too. 255 /65 R16 is the suggested tire size.
Is there a 16" wheel option or tire option? When I selected the wheel tab it showed 17" as the smallest option. However, tires showed 16" as the smallest. Conflicting info.

I know the tire options have a 16" option as mention in my first comment. If you look at the wheels TAB, the smallest option is 17". Like I said, conflicting options. I wouldn't trust the tire option if they don't have a 16" wheel option...

Apologies for my ignorance but why would you want to put smaller tire / wheel size on a SUV?

Smaller wheels will allow you to go with larger tires for more sidewall. More sidewall is always better for off-roading. Another added benefit is more wheel protection as well as a softer ride on rocky terrain.

Does anybody know what the load rating is of the OEM 18"s?

I would love to put the nightfall wheels on my LX, but I am having a load of trouble finding them for sale anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?
