Uvo Kia app states we have ONE recall????

Good Morning fellow Telluriders!
Saw this morning my uvo app changed with an update. Slightly diff looking screen and options.
BUT i noticed that the “recall badge/ tab” is displaying a recall for us.
I will attach a screen shot below.
Im still waiting to hear back from kia on a detailed explanation, repair details and length of repair.
Check back soon with u all. Anyone else get this message and 0872DB23-7C5C-4EF0-AA90-82AE3528AAF2.jpeg if so pls share ur findings.

It sucks rhat it’s been on for One WEEK and ONLY today the app informed me. I use the app EVERY day so that really sucks.
As for ir being posted already i didnt see it nor receive an email notification from the site about this new post ao FORGIVE me for not knowing this was already discussed!
But thank god for Tim!

LOL … no worries! Welcome aboard. Sometimes the postings come fast and furious on the message boards and its difficult to keep up. The problem doesn't appear to be very serious. See this thread for more details and how you can check for the issue yourself:

I called and spoke to a rep. Said its a quick fix and its being done with a patch/ update to the system. Nothing mechanical. 🙏🏻
What model do u have and color?
Any concerns?
I have an sx prestige. Black moss.
The only few things so far:
1. Back up camera goes “stupid” at random times. Inly way to fix is to shut that car off and in essence reboot. Then all is good til

The camera will either show all black or freeze on an image.
2. Silly little rattle upon vibration from passenger 2nd row when no one is in the seat and im driving on a not so smooth road.
I have narrowed it down to the plastic hard cover that is covering the section that allows the seat to close kinda like a hinge spring mechanism but hidden by the plastic cover.
As the car drives it causes the hard cover to vibrate.
Either then that and this recall i cant complain. It really does amazing on the highway esp with mpg.
I drove from nyc to lake george in upstate ny and back on ONE tank of gas. And 6 passengers and full load in the trunk!

No problem. I have an SX Prestige Moss Green/ Gray interior. So far no real issues, had a paint defect that was addressed and a broken clip in 2nd row sliding rail. Will be fixed next week, had to wait on part. The inspection is quick, but I think that they have to replace the seatbelt mechanism if your affected. Only an issue if you have child seats.

The only few things so far:

Tks Tim. Gray interior- must look nice. I went withe brown leather. Pretty sweet looking.
Curious on ur paint defect? What happened there?

It was more the adhesive they use to bond the outer and inner structures of the hood was not cleaned off before painting and dripped. The drip was painted over. Was only visible from inside the cabin and was sent to a paint shop and fixed in 2 days.

Wow. They really rushed our trucks a little to fast through the assembly line.

Try pressing the reset button with a pen underneath the volume knob while the car is on. That’s a reset button. I haven’t had this issue. Also, if you’re in a garage, pull outside and try again.

Hey Tim,
Hope ur good.
Wanted to pick ur brain.
So since the app updated my remote start has not worked once. Keeps resulting in a mesaage that u can dismiss. But wont start 😔
And they want us to pay 30$ / mrh for the app

I do not use that functionality. I suggest you call Kia customer care. Sorry
