How does the Telluride get the speed sign info for the navigation?

Can the Telluride read the speed signs or is it pre-programmed in the navigation?

Pre-programmed via map data that is updated annually. Depending on the manufacture some charge an annual fee to update the map data. Some manufactures like Chrysler will include it in the system update.
