Pictures and License Plate Numbers

What are your opinions on covering license plate numbers when taking pictures?

Coming from a military intelligence/law enforcement background, there really is no reason to cover your license plate. Your average individual won't have access to the tools to even get the information from it.

I know some people that have heavily modified cars block out their plates for warranty purposes but generally I don’t do it

No sure about that..There are public records sites out there. Even if not possible why expose yourself to the internet?
