Hello all, I've been lurking a bit and decided to join so I can ask questions.
I have a 2017 Subaru Outback that does many things well, but it can't tow, and I'd like a little more cargo space. My first thought was to look at the Ascent, but the Telluride caught my eye. It looks like a Land Rover!
Anyway as soon as SIP loosens up, I'll go test drive one. I don't mind waiting if I have to, but it irritates me to pay over MSRP.
I'm probably looking at the SX Moss Green/ Some Brown color interior/ Tow package

Advice is welcome and considered!
Hope you're all well and stay that way.

My wife has a 2015 Outback. She literally just drives it to and from work. I have a KT EX. She and the entire family loves the KT. It is significantly bigger than the outback. The rear cargo area is bigger than the Ascent and KT's seat fold nearly flat (bench seats). The Ascent's seats don't fold as flat! The KT is very quiet and smooth and the driving assist works well.

We are experiencing weird sorts of electrical problems with the outback, such as the rear hatch not opening/closing and the passenger windows don't operate at times. The rugged perception of a Subaru is just that, "perception". I will not buy another Subaru!

Hello Jazzyone,
I agree the Subaru electrical issues are annoying. I found a way to reset the passenger windows, here's a video https://www.google.com/search?q=sub...me&ie=UTF-8#kpvalbx=_0FLFXoHjCMr5-gSesZyABg28. A google search turned up info on how to reset the liftgate too.

What really annoyed me was that Subaru has a bunch of great features that run off the battery, and they put in a crummy battery. It died on me several times while under warranty and I had to take it into the dealer each time to reset several things. They refused to replace the battery. I finally got fed up and bought a Costco battery and it has plenty of power now. Putting a cheap battery on the top of the line trim is irritating.

Does the SX fold fairly flat? Apparently I can't get it with bench seats, but the EX doesn't have features I'm looking for I think. Kia's website makes it difficult to tell.

I received an email last night from a local dealer that they have the exact version I'm thinking about coming next month. The problem is I think they want $5k over MSRP.

Yeah I tried resetting, at least the rear hatch, but that didn't solve the issue. I did change the old battery with a standard battery. Maybe I should have looked into a higher AMP battery.

Yup, suck that the SX doesn't have bench seat option, otherwise, I would have purchased the SX. I really wanted 8 passenger seating because my Sienna was a 7 passenger van and at times the extra seat would have been nice. Another thing bad about 2nd captains' chair is the gap between the seats. The bench seat doesn't have a gap.

I can't believe they still want to charge $5K over MSRP. I would seriously consider getting the Palisades. Yeah, the exterior of the KT is better, but internally they are virtually the same vehicles.
