You can always use a hair dryer to warm up the emblem if you need a bit of extra heat. But generally it's not required for the 3M tape to stick as long as you clean the surface area really good.

They do shut off after awhile even in the On position. My wife forgets and leaves the lights on all the time because she manually turns on the lights out of habit.

The Telluride isn't going to win any street races, but it's not lacking in power either. If speed is your thing take a look at the Explorer ST. My buddy just bought one and that thing is fast.

The Telluride wasn't really designed to tow as most buyers will never use it for towing.

The overlays are going to be much easier to install and return back to stock if you plan on selling it in a few years.
