I think most owners are still using the app for remote start. For the idatastart HCX000A (Includes CMHCXA0 control module and ADS-AHR-HCX analog harness kit) hardware is needed with RSA-HK12 being the firmware. See the install guide below. https://www.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/360

Yes EX comes with Auto-dimming but sadly no HomeLink.
