LTE symbol and service strength bars even when no phone connected

What does this mean? I forgot my phone yesterday, but noticed there was a LTE symbol in the top right corner of the display along with bars (showing signal strength) next to it. Does the vehicle have connectivity, even when no phone is present? (I have an EX, btw)

That's the LTE radio for telemetry and UVO service. It has nothing to do with your phone.
