Tailgate opening by itself

My issue is with the tailgate opening by itself. Happening more frequently. Just walk behind it and it opens! On vacation it was a pain’

It is not an issue, it is a feature.. (Smart Power Liftgate). The conditions in which the gate opens automatically are documented in the Telluride's user's manual. You can turn off that feature in the User Settings if you do not like it (see the manual for details).

While I understand the feature of the power liftgate, the liftgate on my 2024 ex x-line opened on its own after we pulled into our garage, we were both sitting in the front seat, turned the vehicle off, and the liftgate ipeed and was shattered when it hit the hinges of my garage door. Anyone else ever hear or have this happen/
