CD player for Telluride

My wife and I would like to buy a Telluride, but we have a problem with the entertainment system: we are CD dependent, with over 5,000 CDs at home, and will not buy a Telluride unless we can find a CD player that we can install. A portable doesn’t work, and the dealer is no help in telling us if there are high-end CD, radio, HD radio, and streaming systems that will fit (since we will have to pull the factory system).

Can anyone suggest anything?

Why not put your CD collection on a USB thumb drive and just plug it into the factory Media slot in the Telluride?

You need to go ask a stereo install store. I am sure they should be able to come up with something

Eventually there will be some aftermarket options but your options may be limited because the demand will likely be low since the factory unit is pretty robust and doesn't leave much to be desired. Like has been already suggested, ask a higher end car audio place for options.

The thumb drive route would be the easiest route for you. It's an adjustment but far more practical. I do miss grabbing a random CD from the collection to throw in the car.

I doubt you can rip out the infotainment system and replace it with an aftermarket system since it is an integrated system with input and output functions. It's not simply a radio.

This appears to be little more than a regular "portable" players since it looks like you can control it through the existing infotainment controls.
