Hello all, I ordered my Ebony Black Nightsky in mid-March and was told by the dealer that it should arrive either end of this week or next week, so basically I've had a 3 month wait. I'm actually leasing it, and one of my concerns is that as I install a hitch at U-haul (just the hitch, no power connector), they will cut the bumper cover so the hitch connector sticks out neatly and the rest of hitch frame remains hidden. When I return the lease, I'll most likely leave the hitch mounted as it won´t make economic sense to have it removed. I'm afraid the dealer, or whoever does the pre-return inspection, will give me a hard time about the modified bumper cover and charge me a ridiculous amount for it (not even sure it´s available as a spare part). So if anybody here has an Ebony Black Telly and is interested in selling their removed hitch bumper cover, please contact me. I'm in the Toronto area.

I also wonder what they will say about the OEM running boards I´m having the dealer install and the window tinting I'll get done (elsewhere). Will they charge me for their removal? Has anyone here gone through this with Kia before?

Thanks!

Just remove that bumper cover and don't cut it. I ordered the bumper cover that comes with Telluride's with the factory hitch option (which if you ordered it, you should've gone that route, and gotten the self-leveling shocks, but it looks as if it's too late for that now). The bumper cover with the hitch provision was only like $60-70 plus shipping, and it fits very nicely around the aftermarket hitch (I put a Curt on mine). Other than that, don't know how leases work with the tinting. If the running boards are OEM and dealer installed, I can't imagine them giving you a hard time about that, as it's just a free added incentive for them when they go to resell it.

Thanks! I thought about getting the OEM hitch cover, but I decided not go that route given I won't install any wiring harness. I think the original cover with minimal cut-out looks so much better. Buuuuuut, dealer may give me a hard time when I return the lease. As for the self-leveling shocks, I didn't even see that as a factory option. Not sure if that´s available in Canada. I only saw the dealer installed hitch option.
