Need help with a door handle problem

I have a 2020 Telluride EX and the drivers door handle cover fell off and was lost on the highway. The handle works perfectly and I put a piece of tape around the wires to contain them. All I need is a new cover and the dealer is telling me the only way to get one is to buy a complete new door handle assembly for $266.00 and then it only comes primed and it will have to be painted white. Seems unreasonable that I cant just buy a white cover and replace it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

First thought - you might have best luck finding at a junkyard. Find a big one, and if can't find one, put out a heads-up to the manager.
