It's almost like an epidemic. Here are some just from the FB group.

How are they getting cracks? Is it just from driving or something hitting it?

I'm not understanding, if something (a rock, a garage door) hits your glass and cracks it is that the Company's fault? Are you all saying the glass is inferior and should withstand this damage? Just trying to understand...

I belong to a ton of Telluride sights. The number of cracks is a bit high. No OBVIOUSLY if the garage comes down on it it’s the owner fault. However many people are seeing little cracks that immediately spread to a larger crack. I’m not a windshield expert but I see NO harm in reporting it to Kia. What if there is an issue with the windshields? No harm in calling it in

I just hopped onto the FB group and you're right there are more complaints than average about cracked windshields.

Those that are saying it’s user error make me laugh. What is the hard in reporting it to Kia. It’s a new car style and we all know there are issues. For instance the rear windshield wiper leaking That’s a nation wide known and confirmed issue. So where was the extensive testing on that. I say report and let’s see what happens.

If you're implying I'm blaming user error then your wrong, the garage door obviously but the others (and you admitted as much yourself) look like a rock or something hit the windshields causing a "ding" in the glass. A ding will usually spread out when shock is applied to the glass (such as hitting a pothole) or in winter when water gets into it and then freezes and thaws. All but one of those pictures appears to show that something hit the glass initiating the spread of the crack. If something hit it as you admitted above then how could it be the Company's fault? I still don't understand where you're going with this unless you're just throwing it out there and hoping KIA will reimburse for the "defective" glass.

i don’t have a chip or broken glass. Not here to debate with you or anyone else. This is my 6th new Kia in 10 years. I have a close relationship with my dealership. They are the ones that have also recommended people report. If you don’t I really don’t mind. That’s why this is a great nation. We have choices. I choose to put options out there for others and will continue to. Neither you or I decide if Kia will find this as a defect. So what’s your point in disagreeing. Take into consideration the sentence before this is a rhetorical question.

Correct...and report what to Kia exactly? Was driving and a rock hit my windshield and cracked it, therefore the Telluride sucks?

Gentlemen, you do realize that the Telluride is fitted with a unique windshield - per their own advert:
Popular features and technology inside the new Kia Telluride
The 2020 Kia Telluride provides exponential power. However, if new technology is what you’re after in a new SUV, you’re sure to find your match with the UVO Link and eight-inch touchscreen display. Also, all your riders have the opportunity to charge their smart devices with six available USB ports! The sound-absorbing windshield glass keeps you and your passengers comfortable in a quiet space while you travel, and drivers have access to all their multimedia needs through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay!

Is it possible that this glass is not as robust as a normal windshield..............................
hence the damage..................

It could be a bad batch of windshields that's more susceptible to cracks, no one knows for sure unless we report it to Kia and make them aware.
