Rented a Telluride just like mine - How they compare

My new 2025 Telly has only 2,500 miles, but I just finished renting a 2025 on holiday for two weeks that had 25,000 miles on the clock. I saw this as a good opportunity to see how mine might fare at the 25,000 mile mark, especially since rentals are often used pretty hard. The good news: it was as smooth, quiet, and fuel efficient as my new one, plus everything worked and no trim was missing. The bad news: It was exhibiting coupler failure symptoms (2-3 distinct clunk sensations from the rear when making right or left turns from a stop). (I have to admit for a vehicle as nicely designed and built as the Telluride - I really like mine thus far - I don't understand why couplers seem like disposable wear item like brake pads, whereas other manufacturers seem to build transverse-engine AWD vehicles with fewer drivetrain issues. Anyone know why? If it's cost, how much is Kia really saving with all the warranty replacements?)
