Looks like Gone in 60 beat me to it with the videos. After you program Homelink with the remote, you'll still need to push the learn button the garage so that the opener recognizes Homelink as a new remote.

What brand do you have and how old is it?

Kia and Hyundai uses a similar system to this, you can see how it works. There's no air hoses associated with the self-leveling shocks but you'll need to drive it around in order for the system to lift itself up. SACHS Nivomat System
