Howdy y’all,
My 2020 Telluride just recently started making a knocking noise upon engine startup and stays a consistent pace while it’s in park, stopped while in Drive, accelerating from a stop but the intensity of the knocking noise becomes less severe at higher speeds.
Other than the knocking noise, no error codes are being thrown and no issues with performance, stalling, etc. with the engine. It drives like normal like nothing is wrong.
The dealership has had the vehicle for 3 days trying to diagnose the issue and now they’re saying a full engine replacement is needed now. The vehicle has 143,500 miles on it and receives regular maintenance at the same dealership. Checked the oil level before brining it in this most recent time and engine oil levels were normal.
Anyone else experience this issue before?
