Hitch and Wiring Installation

2025 Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro
Has anyone done a DIY hitch and wiring installation?

• Curious what is the best/easiest to install?
• Is drilling required or is the frame 'pre-drilled'?
• Is wiring 'plug n play'?

My Santa Fe required drilling the frame, but wiring was just plug in.

YES! Just knocked it out! Everything under $550 total, not including my time. Here are some pictures of Curt Hitch, OEM Wiring Harness, My Own Install, and Brake Controller. About a 2 hour install, myself, limited tools, plug and play, bolt-n-nut.

No. Yes.

The Power will if you get the metal plate adapter. The Curtis hitch sits lower and therefore there will be the gap above it in the new panel. Hence why I just did mine custom. Also, I am using a 2" $35 Curtis 'Rise' hitch that goes into the installed hitch receiver to make it like 'OEM' hitch receiver height.
