Transmission Rattle in Drive When Stopped in Cold Weather

In cold weather just after starting and before warming up completely, I hear a rattling noise from the engine compartment near the firewall when I'm in Drive but stopped. If i shift to neutral and back to drive, the noise goes away. The engine was repalced roughly 10k miles ago and the transmission has had its fluid replaced on schedule but not recently.
Anyone experience this before?
