My 2020 Telluride was having transmission issues. After taking it in they said it was fine. 1 month later randomly downshifts and skips gears. DIAGNOSTICS THREW NO CODES!! KIA had no idea what to do so they replaced the transmission.

Just bought a 2024 Telluride, after 1900 miles the transmission stuck in 5th gear. Switching from drive to park and back, putting it in manual mode didn't change it. Had to turn car off and back on to get back into 1st gear, then it threw a trany error. Drove back home in manual mode with no issues. Dropped off at dealer but they don't know what the code means. They are going back and forth with Kia on what to do next. Seems the transmission linkage is not syncing up maybe. It has been two days and they have not decided what to do. This is very disappointing considering how good the reliability was supposed to be with this SUV and how well my other Kia held up after over 100K miles.

Been noticing the gear skipping issue, but didn't even register it as a problem thinking there's no way my 24 SX could have any major problems. Boy was I wrong. Had the transmission lock up in 5th gear last night after sitting at a light and bringing the engine back on with the autostop button deactivation. trying to accelerate from a standstill in 5th gear is extremely unnerving. reaching out to the dealer now, but not going to hold my breath that they can fix it. What a horrible experience buying our first KIA this has been. Almost $50K for a KIA and I've been regretting it since day 10 of ownership.

Odometer at 8400 approx.

Our 2021 Kia was experiencing transmission issues. Took it to our local dealer. It took them two weeks to tell us they didn't know what the problem was. A week for Kia to get back to the dealer saying to replace the transmission. A week for the parts to come in. An now its been sitting there at the dealership for a total of FIVE WEEKS with expected service not to even begin for another 1.5 weeks because they claim they have "so much work". This is the worst experience I have ever had with a vehicle. And we LOVED our Telluride for the first 2.5 years. only 3 years old and it needs a new transmission and 4 separate recalls on our model. And communication with both the dealer and corporate has been terrible. I will never buy another Kia. I am so incredibly disappointed. I NEVER post reviews. But I am at such a loss.
