Got tired of waiting for someone to do it so I pulled the trim this morning to see what's up. Pretty simple wiring back there haha.

Thank you for sharing this, which kit did you purchase and can the strobe speed be adjustable?

It's a generic GS-100A LED strobe module I had laying around from an old build. It is not adjustable. However, they do sell adjustable ones out there, just remember to look for LED specific modules.

@utmeep do you know if this brake light mod is legal in CA? CHP's can be total jerks where I live.
I live in Southern California. LA/OC area where CHP are the worse. Never had any problems with the 3rd brake light flashing. However, technically it is illegal as flashing red lights in California are reserved for emergency vehicles.

California vehicle Code 25251.5.

(c) Any stoplamp or supplemental stoplamp required or permitted by Section 24603 may be equipped so as to flash not more than four times within the first four seconds after actuation by application of the brakes.

Nice work. Did you ziptie the module so that is doesn't bounce around?

Didn't need to. It's a light object. If it's bouncing around I can't hear it lol.

"not more than four times within the first four seconds"...so that's why I have it flashing on my motorcycle about four times in one second. ;)
