No trailer brake lights

Recently pulled a trailer and discovered brake lights are not working. I have a 2020 SX with factory trailer package. I ran my vin number and no recalls are active. I'm aware of the SC194 recall and presume it was done, my question is does anybody know what was replaced or added so I can check connections there ??? or if Smart Cruise Control overrides it all the time ??? Any input greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. Doug

The SC194 recall did not replace a module or change Smart Cruise Control logic. What Kia did was add a couple of jumper wires into the existing wiring harness so that when Smart Cruise Control automatically applies the brakes, the trailer brake lights also come on.

Thanks, I suspect I have a broken wire between the rear connector and the fuse box since all other functions work just hoping for something simpler Thanks again
