Having just bought a 2023 SXPrestige (and not the xPro or X line that I really wanted, but the dealer was marking up those versions well over MSRP), I experimented with painting the bare metal parts of the stock black wheels. I simply brush hand painted, free form (no masking), using flat black oil based enamel paint (it’s what I had around the house). Still need to do a second coat, and I need to clean up some over-brush areas, (paint still wet in photo) but it didn’t turn out too bad. Yes, it’s a bit hillbilly, I suppose. Could have Plastidipped them, but I was too lazy (and cheap) to do the masking and all. I like the contrast between the glossy wheel and my flat black painted areas. Also did the front Kia emblem the same.
Its not XPro/Xline, but half a loaf is better than no loaf at all.
